JFK Assasination
November 22, 1963 at 12:30 PM CST as JFK, the 35th Presient of the United States, rides through Dallas Texas he is fatally shot, devastating the entire nation to have their President assasinated. The Challenger Explodes
On January 28, 1986 was the biggest space program disaster ever. The space shuttle Challenger exploded 73 seconds into its flight, killing the seven crew members on board as the shuttle disintigrated over the ocean.
9/11 Terrorist AttacksSeptember 11, 2001- Nineteen terrorists highjack four commercial airplanes crashing two into the World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon, and the fourth into a field (as passenger tried to regain control). The death toll was 2,998 individual who were mostly civilians.
Columbine ShootingsApril 20,1999- Two students from Columbine High School kill 12 students, a teacher and wounded 23 others. This is some real footage from within the school cafeteria of it happening.
Pearl Harbor, US Declares War
December 7, 1941- The Japanese surprise the US by bombing this naval base. The US suffered the loss of 2,388 people and 1,178 wounded as well as severe battleship and warship losses. This ultimatly led to the US joining World War II.
Virginia Tech Shootings
On April 16, 2007 at the Virginia Tech Campus gunman kills 32 people and wounds many more, making it the deadliest school shooting in US history.
Vietnam War
This conflict started in 1959 and lasted until April 30,1975. The first video is JFK's response to inquiry about, "What is going on?" after a media blackout on the subject. The second delivers footage from this conversial and devastating incident that killed 1.4 million militarty personel and 2 to 5 million civilians.
Oklahoma City Bombing
April 19,1995-In a retaliation attempt against the government for the Waco incident, Timothy McVeigh bombed the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building killing 168 individuals and leaving over 800 injured. The HolocaustPerhaps, the most devastating incidents of our time. Who could forget the gas chambers, concentration camps and the fact that six million people were murdered for their race and religion.
